cove landscape architecture

Crafting gardens that are rooted in place, designed to grow more meaningful and beautiful with time.

We are a full-service landscape architecture studio. Our work embraces the art of restraint: beautiful, simple spaces that bring architecture, the way you live outdoors, and the site together as one. We favour regionally appropriate plantings and honest materials, so even the smallest project feels rooted in the richness of its region.

Fall in the garden: wispy grasses catching the breeze and the light, seed heads standing proud, and the canopy overhead turning to gold. Texture, structure, movement, and colour, each one shifting from day to day.
An initial site visit in Prince Edward Island. Long before any plans are drawn, the land reveals itself: rolling hills, red cliffs, a secluded beach, and views of the Northumberland Strait that pull your eye the moment you step out. This area of the
Late-season design is all about layering. Japanese anemones add vertical interest and airy movement to a bed long after spring bloomers have faded. Proof that a well-planned garden never runs out of moments. Pictured: Anemone x hybrida 'Honorine Job

Yesterday we spent the day at NVK's Thriving Landscape Tree event — one of Canada's largest wholesale nurseries — walking through every stage of their tree-growing process, from greenhouse to field. What stood out most: the strategies th
Fall is when the grasses earn their keep — catching light, holding movement, softening everything around them. The quiet texture that makes a garden feel alive. Pictured: sporobolus heterolepis

We love a plant palette that has texture and movement. Pictured: amsonia hubrichtii, sedum 'Matrona', thuja plicata 'Wipcord'
